Welcome! We are Mica Technologies, a small personal software development group with a huge purpose- be different than the rest of the major tech companies out there and have an open and secure place for everyone to enjoy, without any barriers or limitations whatsoever. It's a big win for everyone.
History
The humble beginnings of Mica Technologies were in early 2011, when Brandon was on top of a mountain summit in the middle of New Hampshire where he discovered a tiny bit of mica down in the dirt. The rest was history.
In the years that followed Mica Technologies went through numerous name changes, new websites, and at some times seemingly was forgotten.
One thing that never changed though was the passion and drive to create quality software experiences for everyone.
In late 2019, Mica Technologies recieved a breath of fresh air, and with the creation of the the Mica Minecraft brand and Mica Forge Launcher, it was time to keep the momentum going.

Our mission
At Mica Technologies, our mission is to bring high-quality products and software to the hands of the world through open-source software development and contributions. In addition to what we do:
- Privacy is our top priority. We do not intend to track, share analytics or share any of your private personal information with anyone. We mean it loud and clear. We will never even do that kind of stuff to begin with, and will also be on top of every privacy law and regulation out there.
- We stay on track to what major projects we need to kick butt on and not go off track over what others, like Microsoft especially, might be doing with miscellaneous unnecessary side projects. What has to be done needs to be done.
- We make things better, not worse, by putting everything to good use with the mere drive and innovation for the community to enjoy.
- We always care about our people first, not the other way around!

Brandon Holt aka RinRin Blissgreen
Software Developer, Founder and Angel Winged Panda
Brandon, otherwise known as RinRin Blissgreen to many in the furry fandom, is a drive, detail-oriented IT and software technician located in the Greater Los Angeles area in Lakewood, California. He has been with Mica Technologies since it first began in 2011, and is one of the original founders. He mostly enjoys being a derp in suit and having a bit too much fun when he is not doing things... or is he!?
Alex Hawk
Software Developer & Founder
Alex is a passionate and driven certified software engineer located in the Greater Boston area in Manchester, New Hampshire. He is one of the founders of the Mica Technologies software group, and has been a member since it first started.
